September 2024

Liv Nielsen presented her research at the 2024 EISA Conference in Lille, France. As part of the panel on ‘Climate Governance and Climate Justice, she discussed communal resilience, governance, and cooperation within the Greenlandic mining sector, offering critical perspectives on local and global dynamics in resource management.

San Francisco

April 2024

The AGMOW team participated in the International Studies Association (ISA) conference in San Francisco this April. The team, including Trine Flockhart, Elena Korosteleva, Liv Nielsen, and Li Xing, along with Joerg Friedrichs, featured on a panel titled “Relationality and Resilience-Governance in the Multi-Order World.” Trine Flockhart also contributed to a discussion on “International Norms, Relationality, and the Global Order.” Additionally, AGMOW member Ingvild Bode took part in a panel exploring “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on World Politics.”

Trine Flockhart recently participated in this year's security conference in Münich. We are extremely pleased that the MSC 2024 Report "Lose-Lose?" mentions the concept multi-order world, showing the resonance of the concept into the policy world.

Book launch of Rebooting Global International Society – Change, Contestation and Resilience

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration hosted a book launch for the edited volume by Trine Flockhart and Zachary Paikin. The book draws on some of the theoretical foundations of AGMOW and focuses on change, contestation and resilience within the Global International Society

 

Workshop on the English School and International Society

11 May 2023

The workshop was organized by Trine Flockhart and Laust Schouenborg in cooperation between the Centre for War Studies, SDU, and the Centre for Statecraft and International Order, Roskilde University. The workshop received funding from the Carlsberg Foundation and from the Department of Political Science and Public Management at SDU. Eleven English School scholars from Sweden, Germany, Britain, Denmark and even the Philippines attended the workshop to share work in progress. Trine Flockhart presented the first two chapters of her book-project “The Multi-Order World - Resilience-governance and transformational change”.
