Simon Rushton is a Professor of International Politics in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Sheffield, UK. He holds a PhD from Aberystwyth University and LLB and MA degrees from the University of Hull. Simon’s research interests focus on the global politics of health, peace and conflict, and participatory research methods. His global health politics work has looked in particular at global health governance and international responses to infectious diseases. His books include The Transformation of Global Health Governance (Palgrave 2014; with Colin McInnes, Kelley Lee et al), Disease Diplomacy (Johns Hopkins University Press 2015; with Sara Davies and Adam Kamradt-Scott), and Security and Public Health (Polity 2019). His current research projects are in Nepal and Colombia.
